Lemon Crm Cupcakes...need I say more...mmm, mmm

Last Thursday I decided to try my hand at some Lemon Crm Cupcakes...I had seen the recipe some time back on moptopmaven.blogspot.com, she adaped the recipe from the one at http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Lemon-Cream-Cupcakes/Detail.aspxrecipes.com, they were soooo good!!....It is amazing the flav that just the lemon zest gives the cupcakes. The lemon flavor is sutle but the icing brings it all out...I guess if you wanted a more lemony taste in the cupcake you could add lemon juice which is added to the icing. The icing is more like a glaze that hardens but melts in your mouth, loved it! I may be making these cupcakes again for Easter weekend, such a great Spring cupcake! These cupcakes were also super easy to make, and definitely a great start for a beginner baker. Comparing these to the red velv cupcakes that I made these were definitely easier! I have to have this A-SAP!!...hopefully, the hubby will get it for me as a Mother's Day Gift=))...hint, hint...it smells sooo fresh, light and girly but yet is not overpowering or too light where it fades quickly...love it!!

A bit of Entertaninment News...DWTS Season 12 cast has been announced!!

So you may soon learn that I am a bit of a celebrity gossip junkie!...lol...therefore, I must share that the new DWTS Season 12 cast members were announced last night, and I was pleasantly surprised that the Queen of Hot Topics, Wendy Williams is going to be dancing this season along with Kristie Allen,  Sugar Ray Leonard, Romeo (Master-P's son), Ralph Macchio (the Original Karate Kid), Chelsea Kane Staub (Disney), Chris Jericho (wrestler), Hines Ward (Steeler's Wide Receiver), Mike Catherwood, Petra Nemcova, and Kendra Wilkinson. Im not sure who a few of these individuals are but Wendy Williams alone has sparked my interest to follow the season especially being that I watch her TV show daily! The first episode of the season is March 21st on ABC...be sure to tune in!

The Big Nite...Oscar Nite

I dont know if it was just me but the fashion at the Oscars was a little flat!...My top pick was definitely Jennifer Hudson...I thought she looked amazing!...That color was stunning on her skin tone!...I just had to share it. Sandra Bullock also looked amazing in red!...I just wanted to share my faves from the nite! I hope J. Hudson gets best dressed on E!'s Fashion Police ep tomorrow nite!

Decided to try my hands at some Red Velv Cupcakes today...

I was feeling a little tired and lazy today so I decided instead of laying on the couch...why not get up to try this Red Velvet Cupcakes recipe that I found, I had intentionally bought the ingredients for it during a trip to Wally...I have been dying to get into baking homemade treats...I must say that they turned out great for a first timer...the first batch were not red enough so I gave them another try and voila!!...Red Velv Cupcakes as I call them!...I even did homemade frosting!..I am super proud...lol...they are delish, I will definitely try this recipe again!...The recipe was courtesy of Carrot Top Mom, the link for the recipe is http://www.carrottopmom.com/?p=290, I hope you guys will give them a whirl! Ive been considering this for a while now...

My hubby is a huge blog follower and I find some here and there that intrigue me and make me want to be a part of the world of blogging. So tonight, I thought, why not...someone may connect with me and if not then at least I am immortalizing myself. I am not quite sure what this blog may be about just yet but I am on a journey of Self-Discovery...my goal is to do things that interest me such as photography, baking, cooking, fashion, etc. I am also on a mission to make a creative living as well. I have always wanted to be my own boss, have my own business and truly enjoy what I do for a living but I had an onset of  FEAR but I have suppressed that FEAR and I am READY! I also want to be available to my baby girl and not be chained to a desk, also the experience of sending her to daycare was a freaking NIGHTMARE!!...she went from never being sick to being sick every month sometimes all month!!...so I decided to reevaluate my life, chase my dreams, not settle, and see where it takes me!
